Register for foreign transaction limit for students

We have increased the monthly foreign transaction limit for students studying abroad to USD 1,200 from 1st November 2024. Students will need to register via the Foreign Limit Portal to enjoy the new limit.

How to register: Access the Foreign Limit Portal and complete the registration process.

Documents required: 

• A copy of your passport
• Student visa  
• Enrollment/acceptance letter from your university or college. The letter must be issued by the university or educational institute at which you are studying and must include your details, name of the course you are studying as well as its start date and duration.

The increased limit will be processed within one working day. You can track your request through the Student Portal, and once processed, you will also receive notifications via the Mobile App.

Once successfully registered, the new limit will be enabled on the debit card selected from the Student Portal for spending in the country you are residing in. Within this limit, you'll also have a USD250 limit to use for any other foreign spending.
