Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions shall apply to the Bank of Maldives (BML) International Money Transfer Promotion (the “Promotion”).

By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to adhere to and be bound by these terms and conditions, along with any relevant policies issued by the BML from time to time. BML reserves its absolute right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. In case of disputes, the interpretation and decisions of BML shall be final and binding on the participants.

1. Eligibility and Promotion Period

1.1 The Promotion is exclusively open to BML customers.

1.2 The Promotion will be available from 19th September – 18th December 2023 (“Promotion Period”).

1.3 Customers who conduct overseas transfers via International Money Transfer during the Promotion Period will be eligible to participate in the Promotion.

1.4 Employees of BML and their immediate family members are not eligible for the Promotion.

2. Mechanics of the Promotion

2.1 During the Promotion Period, Lucky Draw will be conducted among the customers who successfully complete transactions via International Money Transfer.

2.2 Weekly Lucky Draws: A total of 9 winners will be selected each week during the Promotion Period, and they will receive gift cards as detailed below:

(i) For transactions processed below USD 500 – 3 winners will each receive Gift Card worth MVR 750.

(ii) For transactions processed from USD 501 – USD 1000 – 3 winners will each receive Gift Card worth MVR 2000.

(iii) For transactions processed from USD 1001 and above – 3 winners will each receive Gift Card worth MVR 3,500.

2.3 At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, 1 Grand Winner will be chosen through a lucky draw. The winner will receive a Gift Card worth MVR 15,000.00.

2.4 The details of the winners will be published on Bank of Maldives Plc’s website.

2.5 The Bank will make every effort to contact the Weekly Winners and the Grand Winner. If the Bank is unable to contact them within 2 days following the lucky draw, and the results have been posted on the Bank’s website, the Bank reserves the right to nullify the initial draw and select another winner.

2.6 The prizes mentioned in 2.2 and 2.3 are strictly non-transferable.

3. General

3.1 By submitting your details and personal information, you are granting consent to BML to use such information, and contacting you for marketing purposes by BML. Additionally, you are also agreeing to the potential public disclosure of any statement related to this Promotion.

3.2 BML shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by customers or any other individuals in connection with the Promotion. This includes, but is not limited to, any errors in chance calculations, breakdowns, or malfunctions in computer system or equipment.

3.3 Unless stated otherwise, this Promotion is not valid in conjunction with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions of BML.

3.4 Participants have read and agree to be bound by the official rules, regulations and decisions of BML. The decisions of BML on all matters related to the Promotion shall be deemed final and binding on all participants and any other individuals involved, including but not limited to, any decision to amend, cancel or suspend the Promotion. No correspondence or communication in this regard will be considered or responded to.

3.5 The Terms contained herein are in addition to and without prejudice to all other applicable terms and conditions (“Other Terms”) of the Bank that may be relevant in connection with this Promotion. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and Other Terms, these terms will prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
