What is BML Small Grant?

BML Small grant is the fifth event of a series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the lead up to BML’s 40th anniversary in November 2022. Bank of Maldives will be supporting Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) on projects that are aimed towards sustainability, climate change mitigation and adaptation.

8 NGOs will be granted MVR 250,000 each.

Who can submit a proposal?

Applicants must be a community-based non-governmental organization legally registered in Maldives before 31st December 2021.
Fund is applicable for only new projects of maximum value of MVR 250,000 within the focal areas.
Individuals, government bodies, business/commercial entities and other institutions that are state funded are not eligible.

Funding areas

Conservation and/or restoration of environment/endangered species
Restoration of degraded or unused land
Waste management and pollution prevention
Promoting affordable, clean energy and low carbon innovations
Climate change mitigation and adaptation
Environment education and advocacy

Deadline

Applications for BML Small Grant is open until 15th May 2022. Send the applications to [email protected] before 11:59pm of 15th May 2022.
