Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions shall apply to BML Islamic Brand Awareness Promotion (the “Promotion”).

By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to observe and be bound by these terms and conditions and any relevant policy issued by the Bank of Maldives (BML) from time to time. BML reserves its absolute right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice. In case of disputes, the interpretation, and decisions of BML shall be final and binding on the participants.

1. Eligibility and Promotion Period

1.1 The BML Islamic Brand Awareness (the Promotion) is only open to Bank of Maldives Plc (the “Bank”) customers.

1.2 Employees of the Bank and their immediate family members are not eligible for the Promotion.

1.3 The Promotion shall be available from 10th June 2023 to 22nd July 2023 (the “Promotion Period”).

1.4 All financing applications collected and approved during the promotion period, will qualify for the Promotion.

1.5 All financing applications approved by the Bank during the Promotion Period shall be eligible for the Promotion and will be automatically entered to a lucky draw.

2. Mechanics of the Promotion

During the Promotion Period all Participants of the Promotion shall be eligible for the following:

2.1 Weekly lucky draws: One lucky winner will be chosen by a draw every week during the Promotion Period and the weekly winner will receive a BML Gift Card of MVR 3,000.00.

2.2 Lucky draw at the end of the Promotion: The Grand Winner will be chosen by a lucky draw conducted after the Promotion Period. The Grand Prize winner will receive a BML Gift Card of MVR 50,000.00.

2.3 The details of winners will be published on the Bank’s website.

2.4 The Bank will contact the winners to inform they had won the lucky draw. In the event the Bank is unable to contact the winner and the winning prize (Gift Card) is not collected by the winner within 10 days from the date of lucky draw, the winning shall be forfeited, and the Bank reserves the right to draw another winner.

2.5 The winning prize is strictly non-transferable.

3. General

3.1 By submitting your details and particulars, you consent to BML using such information, and contacting you for the marketing efforts of BML. You further consent to the public disclosure of any statement in relation to this Promotion.

3.2 In the event any customer applying for a financing facility within the Promotion Period does not wish to participate in the Promotion, this must be notified in writing to the Bank at the time of such application and the customer shall be excluded from the Promotion.

3.3 If BML discovers that an individual is not eligible to participate in the Promotion, BML may at its discretion cancel the BML Gift Card and recover the funds utilized by the customer by debiting their accounts in BML. No individual shall be entitled to any payment or compensation from BML should any rebate be forfeited or reclaimed.

3.4 BML shall not be liable to any customer or any other persons for any loss or damage arising in connection with the Promotion, including without limitation, any error in computing any chances, any breakdown or malfunctions in any computer system or equipment.

3.5 The decision of BML on all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final and binding on all participants and any other persons, including, without limitation, any decision to cancel or suspend the Promotion. No correspondence(s) will be entertained.

3.6 Unless otherwise stated, this Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges, or promotions of the Bank.

3.7 By participating in this Promotion, the Participants expressly agree to have read and agree to be bound by the official rules, regulation, and decisions of the Bank.

3.8 The lucky draws are conducted under the Shari’ah concept of Hibah.
