Bank of Maldives has announced strong financial results for the start of the year, with Operating Profit of MVR 698 million and Net Profit of MVR 497 million in the first quarter.
The quarter saw steady growth across core business areas with MVR 1.7 billion in new loans to individuals and businesses, a 72% increase compared to Q1 2024. The Bank’s net loan portfolio also grew by over MVR 470 million while capital and liquidity levels remained robust, well above regulatory standards.
Commenting on the results, BML’s CEO and Managing Director, Mohamed Shareef, stated "The Bank recorded its best ever financial performance last year, and we are pleased to continue this momentum into the first quarter of 2025. Our solid financial position enables us to further our mission of expanding banking access and enabling growth for individuals, businesses and communities across the country.”

ބޭންކް އޮފް މޯލްޑިވްސް (ބީއެމްއެލް) އިން މި އަހަރުގެ ފުރަތަމަ ކުއާޓަރގައި ހިންގުމުގެ ފައިދާގެ ގޮތުގައި 698 މިލިއަން ރުފިޔާ އަދި ސާފު ފައިދާގެ ގޮތުގައި 497 މިލިއަން ރުފިޔާ ހޯދައިފިއެވެ.
ވޭތުވެދިޔަ ކުއާޓަރގައި ބީއެމްއެލް އިން އަމިއްލަ ފަރުދުންނާއި ވިޔަފާރިތަކަށް އަލަށް 1.7 ބިލިއަން ރުފިޔާގެ ލޯނު ދޫކޮށްފައިވާއިރު މިއީ މިދިޔަ އަހަރުގެ މި މުއްދަތާ އަޅާބަލާއިރު 72 އިންސައްތައިގެ ކުރިއެރުމެކެވެ. މި ކުއާޓަރގައި ބޭންކުން ލޯނު ދޫކޮށްފައިވާ އަދަދުވަނީ 470 މިލިއަނަށް ވުރެ އިތުރުވެފައެވެ. ކެޕިޓަލް އަދި ލިކުއިޑިޓީ ރޭޝިއޯ ވަނީ ގާނޫނު ލާޒިމްކުރާ މިންވަރަށްވުރެ މަތީގައި ދެމެހެއްޓިފައި ވެއެވެ.
ބީއެމްއެލްގެ ސީއީއޯ އަދި މެނޭޖިންގ ޑިރެކްޓަރ މުޙައްމަދު ޝަރީފް ވިދާޅުވީ "ވޭތުވެދިޔަ އަހަރުގައި ހަރުދަނާ މާލީ ނަތީޖާއެއް ހޯދުމަށްފަހު، މި އަހަރުގެ ފުރަތަމަ ކުއާޓަރގައިވެސް މި ދުވެލި ދެމެހެއްޓިގެން ދިޔުމަކީ އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް ލިބޭ ވަރަށް ބޮޑު އުފަލެއް. މިފަދަ ރަނގަޅު މާލީ ނަތީޖާއެއް ލިބުމަކީ މުޅި ރާއްޖެއަށް ބޭންކިންގެ ހިދުމަތް ފުޅާކޮށް، ފަރުދުންނާއި ވިޔަފާރިތަކާއި މުޖުތަމައު ކުރިއަރުވަން އެހީތެރިވުމަށް އަޅުގަނޑުމެން މި ކުރާ މަސައްކަތަށް ލިބޭ އިތުރު ހިތްވަރެއް."
މުޅި ރާއްޖެ ހިމެނޭ ބޭންކިންގ ވިއުގަޔަކާއެކު 20 އަތޮޅުގައި 39 ބަރާންޗް 107 ސެލްފް ސަރވިސް ބޭންކިންގ ސެންޓަރ، 165 އޭޓީއެމް، އޭޖެންތް ބޭންކިންގ ޚިދުމަތުގެ އިތުރުން އެންމެ ޒަމާނީ އޮންލައިން ބޭންކިންގ ޚިދުމަތާއެކު ބޭންކް އޮފް މޯލްޑިވްސްގެ އަމާޒަކީ އާންމު ފަރުދުންނާއި ވިޔަފާރިތަކާއި ރާއްޖޭގެ އެކި ކަންކޮޅުތަކުގައިވާ މުޖުތަމައުތަކަށް އެހީތެރިކަން ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމެވެ.
