As part of its efforts to bring banking services to islands, the Bank introduced its Cash Agent service in 2014. Today, there are over 200 Cash Agents providing cash withdrawal services across the islands. With today’s announcement, 40 of these local retailers now provide cash deposits as well as payment services with no additional charges.
BML’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer commented, “Using our existing POS network to establish Cash Agents has proven to be a successful model in our Financial Inclusion strategy. Cash Agents work similar to ATMs in that they can be used for cash withdrawals, deposits and payments through a POS terminal using customer’s debit card. Local communities can bank conveniently in their home island, without the need to travel to the nearest branch or ATM.”

ބޭންކް އޮފް މޯލްޑިވްސް އިން 40 ކޭޝް އެޖެންޓުންނާއެކު އަތޮޅުތެރޭގައި ކޭޝް ޑިޕޮސިޓް އަދި ޕޭމަންޓް ސަރވިސްގެ ހިދުމަތް ފުޅާކޮށްފިއެވެ. މި ހިދުމަތާއެކު، ކަސްޓަމަރުންނަށް ކޮންމެ ދުވަހަކު 10،000 ރުފިޔާ އާ ހަމަޔަށް އެޖެންޓުން މެދުވެރިކޮށް ފައިސާ ޑިޕޮސިޓް ކުރުމުގެ އިތުރުން ލޯނު އަދި ކްރެޑިޓް ކާޑަށްވެސް ފައިސާ ދެއްކޭނެއެވެ.
މުޅިރާއްޖެއަށް ބޭންކިންގ ހިދުމަތް ފުޅާކުރުމަށްޓަކައި ބޭންކުން ކޭޝް އެޖެންޓުންގެ ހިދުމަތް ތައާރަފް ކޮށްފައިވަނީ 2014 ވަނަ އަހަރުއެވެ. މިގޮތުން މިއަދާ ހަމަޔަށް 200 އަށްވުރެ ގިނަ ކޭޝް އޭޖެންޓުން މެދުވެރިކޮށް އަތޮޅުތެރޭގައި ފައިސާ ނެގުމުގެ ހިދުމަތް ދަނީ ފޯރޮކޮށްދެމުންނެވެ. އަދި މިއަދާ ހަމަޔަށް ގާއިމްކޮށްފައިވާ ޑިޕޮަސިޓް ހިދުމަތް ފޯރުކޮށްދޭ 40 ރީޓެއިލް ފިހާރަ މެދުވެރިކޮށް އެއްވެސް ފީއަކާ ނުލައި ފައިސާ ޖަމާކުރުމުގެ އިތުރުން ފައިސާ ދެއްކުމުގެ ހިދުމަތްވެސް ކަސްޓަމަރުންނަށް ލިބިގެންދާނެއެވެ.
މިކަމާ ގުޅޭ ގޮތުން ބީއެމްއެލް ސީއީއޯ އަދި މެނޭޖިންގ ޑައިރެކްޓަރ ޓިމް ސޯޔަރ ވިދާޅުވީ " ބޭންކުގެ ޕީއޯއެސް ވިއުގަ މެދުވެރިކޮށް ދެވޭ ކޭޝް އެޖެންޓް ހިދުމަތަކީ މުޅިރާއްޖެއަށް ބޭންކިންގ ހިދުމަތްފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމަށް އަޅުގަނޑުމެން ކަނޑައަޅާފައިވާ ސްޓެރެޓެޖީގެ ދަށުން ކާމިޔާބުކަމާއެކު ހިދުމަތްދެވެމުންދާ މޮޑެލްއެއް. އޭޓީއެމްއެކޭ އެއްފަދައިން ކަސްޓަަމަރުންނަށް ކޭޝް އޭޖެންޓް ހިދުމަތްވެސް ބޭނުންކުރެވޭނެ. މިގޮތުން ކަސްޓަމަރުގެ ޑެބިޓް ކާޑު ބޭނުންކޮށްގެން ޕީއޯއެސް ޓަރމިނަލް މެދުވެރިކޮށް ފައިސާ ނެގުމާއި، ޖަމާކުރުމާއި ފައިސާ ދެއްކުމުގެ ހިދުމަތްވެސް ލިބިގެންދާނެ. ބޭންކިންގ ހިދުމަތް ހޯދުމަށް ބްރާންޗް ނުވަތަ އޭޓީއެމް ސެންޓަރއެއް ގާއިމްކޮށްފައިވާ ރަށަކަށް ދަތުރު ކުރުމުގެ ބަދަލުގައި އަމިއްލަ ރަށުގައި ތިބެގެން ކޭޝް އެޖެންޓުން މެދުވެރިކޮށް ފަސޭހަކަމާއެކު ބޭންކިންގ ހިދުމަތް ހޯދޭނެ."
