Our CSR Initiatives are focused on key social, economic and environmental causes; And we encourage staff participation and contribution, we believe that nurturing and developing the spirit of volunteerism within the Bank will help sustain the positive changes we stand for.
Bank of Maldives engages in numerous national-level activities and initiatives which benefited local communities. The Bank performed the role of Official Fund Manager for the Help Gaza Telethon which raised almost MVR 30 million to help people in need in Gaza - we had 130 staff volunteers who worked tirelessly to help make the telethon a hugely successful event.
The Bank also donated ECG Machines to three islands in B. Atoll and sponsored the “Rehendhi Award” presented by the Government to the most outstanding women in the country.
Our staff took part in various volunteer activities such as visiting and supporting the Centre for People with Special Needs. BML staff were also prominent in assisting Maldives National Defense Force and Maldives Red Crescent with the distribution of water during the Male’ Water Crisis.
The Bank sponsored and volunteered at the Annual Beach & Reef Clean-up Event and participated in MMA’s Global Money Week by, among other things, conducting financial literacy sessions for students of various schools throughout the country.
